What is Craic Kids?

Craic Kids is a combination of skill practice, brief workouts, and games leveraged to build strength and conditioning in children. Our classes include elements of gymnastics, weightlifting, bodyweight movements, running, jump rope, and more.

Specifically, Craic Kids teaches the 10 General Physical Skills. These skills are the foundation for any sport or activity your child may pursue. Improvement in each of these physical capacities will directly lead to your child having an increased ability to learn and succeed in other sports.

Craic Kids Levels

Little Savages

Children in this category are typically between the ages of 6 and 11 and this class will be 45 mins in duration. The focus of this class will be vestibular conditioning, basic unweighted CrossFit lifts, as well as games and fun.

“Little Savages” not only teaches these basic physical skills, but also helps with social skills and confidence. Children learn foundational movements like the squat, push-up, and pull-up along with climbing, jumping, and elementary gymnastic movements.

Craic Kids teaches the importance of following directions, listening, communicating with peers, and teamwork. Every class includes fitness, games, play, and positive reinforcement. Your child’s confidence, both physically and mentally, will grow with each class.

Future Savages

Children in this category are typically between the ages of 12 and 17 and this class will be 45 mins in duration. The focus of this class will be more advanced movements, moving under load safely, as well as games and fun in the gym.

Our “Future Savages” are on the road to becoming the next generation of athletes. They will partake in a more in-depth exploration of the movements and programming consistent with CrossFit. Weight training will transition from PVC-pipes to barbells, with an emphasis on using the least amount of weight possible to provoke a growth response in the body. Proper form will be priority number one. Workouts will be of higher intensity than in the Little Savages program.

Classes continue to include games, play, and positive reinforcement, as well as discussions on what was learned in each class.
