At Craic, we value a step-by-step process toward understanding your food. We understand that changes around food can be intimidating or emotional, so most of our nutrition recommendations start with making minor adjustments that lead to major results over time.
Food qualities and quantities will be different for everyone based on individual goals and experiences.
We recommend that everyone starts HERE, with a focus on food quality! At Craic, we’ve labelled this food plan NO BREAD. By this we mean, decreasing the intake of processed foods, and increasing lean meats, vegetables, fruits, and good fats. You maybe familiar with the Paleo diet and that is very similar to our No Bread program.
Once you have a better understanding of the quality of your food choices, we may move towards measuring the quantities of our foods, most specifically keeping track of our protein, fat, and carbohydrate intake. You may have heard of If It Fits Your Macros or weighing and measuring. Many of us will never need to move to this track, but it is an option if desired.
We hope to all find an appropriate balance of these ideas and to reach a level of maintenance and understanding of our food.
