1 ballon jump
5 starbucks locations
That pretty much sums up my weekend. I’ve never done that many jumps in 3 days and it just left me hungry for more. At my home DZ I usually jump then casually pack and get on another load an hour or so later and on a good day I’d get 3 jumps in. Out there is was jump, land, pack, go – all day.
I didn’t stop to even eat on Sat or Sun.
The ballon jump went ahead on Sunday morning and it surpassed my expectations in every way imaginable. Fear, peace, excitement – I went through it all. I had visualized it over and over in my head for the past month or so but nothing could have prepared me for how amazing it was going to be.
It was by far the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Hanging in a basket 7,000ft in the air as the sun came up over the mountains was by itself an amazing thing to experience, let alone jumping out of the basket like a crazy person. It was a very surreal balance between something so crazy and so peaceful.
It’s so different to skydiving – SO MUCH BETTER. Thats not to say skydiving is any less fun, I just feel like a whole new world has been opened up to me.
This was the whole reason I came out and I would do it again in a heart beat.
Skydive Perris is an awesome facility – Huge place with 2 planes going all day long, load organizers putting people together and very helpful staff. Also had a full restaurant and bar with a pool. Really couldn’t ask for more from a Dropzone.
Before leaving for the airport on Sunday I went for a swim, took a shower, ate some food, then started to dive back into work stuff. Really nice end to the weekend.
While the past few days was like being in a different world I’m equally excited to get back to work. I love my life!
