Oh baby

These days I would say that it is rare than I am genuinely excited for a workout but today was one of those days. Usually I am dreading it, or nervous, or sometimes both but not today

2 of my favorite movements! I was psyched to do the Squat Snatches a little more as I have never done that heavy for reps before so I was curious to see how I’d do. I would like to have gotten under 5mins considering I had 10 done in 1:33 but I didn’t have it today. I made sure on each rep that I didn’t pick the bar up until I knew I would make it. There were a few dodgy reps but they were ok for the most part.

I expected to do a little better on the Muscle ups but I think I approached it wrong. My plan initially was to do 3 sets of 7 but after my first 7 I only managed 4 in the second set. After that it was 2′s + 3′s + eventually 1′s the rest of the way.
I would have been better off to have done a max effort in the first set then rest 1 min and grind out the rest that way I think.
Either way this is a PR on this workout for me by almost 2 mins.

6:20am – 5 eggs, 4 pieces bacon, sweet potato
11am – post WOD Shake
1pm – chicken, sweet potato , almonds
3pm – chicken breast, macadamia nuts, coffee
4pm – paleo crunch bar
8:20pm – chilli
